Watch for the submerged crib with only 7 ft of water over it, lying mid-channel about 200 ft downstream of the overhead cable near KM 343. The northern section has a history of mid-season closures — confirm the current Parks Canada status before committing to a run through Locks 42 to 45.

Overhead power cable near KM 343: 50 ft (15.2 m). Submerged crib with 7 ft of water over it lies mid-channel about 200 ft downstream of the overhead cable. Muskoka Road bridge on approach from Lake Couchiching: 22 ft clearance.
