The bridge lies close west of Glen Ross Lock (Lock 7) in a narrow channel on the north side of the river.
At 3 ft closed, this bridge opens for literally every boat that passes. Coordinate your approach with the lock staff — the bridge opening is typically timed with lockage. The narrow channel here means you should have your lines ready and approach slowly.
Overhead power cable close west of lock: 55 ft (16.8 m) clearance. Another cable at western channel entrance: 52 ft (15.8 m). Submerged power and telephone cables cross upstream of KM 20.
Lock 7 has a lift of 11 ft and sits in a narrow channel on the north side of the Trent River. The surrounding area is rural with limited services.
