🧤 Captain’s Bridge Notes

At 16 ft closed, many powerboats can pass under without an opening. Current between the lock and the bridge runs about 2 knots normally, but significantly stronger in spring or after rain. Submerged boulders near the public wharf SW of the lock make the inner side difficult to approach. Confirm the current Parks Canada status before committing — Lock 45 and this bridge have both seen closures.

§6

⚠️ Hazards & Warnings

Overhead power cables at Lock 45: 39 ft and 58 ft (10.9 and 17.7 m). Current between lock and bridge normally about 2 knots, stronger in spring and after heavy rains. Submerged boulders west of the public wharf SW of the lock.
