🧤 Captain’s Anchorage Notes

This is where the Severn River becomes genuinely spectacular. The water clears up, the Shield rock rises on both sides, and you feel like you've left the canal system behind entirely. Multiple anchorage options throughout Lost Channel — pick your spot based on the view you want to wake up to.

Combined with Wood Bay and Pretty Channel nearby, this gives Big Chute area boaters several overnight options when the lock walls are full.
