Little Bob Channel is one of the best-protected anchorages in the Bobcaygeon area. Tucked into the narrow channel east of the low road bridge, you get all-around wind and wake protection from the tree-lined banks on both sides. Depths range from 7 to 12 feet with good holding. This is the kind of spot where you can sleep soundly regardless of what the weather does overnight. Anchor east of the bridge — the 6-foot vertical clearance means most boats cannot pass under it.

Nearest provisioning: Bobcaygeon is approximately 1 km west beyond the bridge and Lock 32. Full town services including groceries, restaurants, fuel, LCBO, and marine supplies. One of the most convenient anchorage-to-town distances on the waterway — dinghy to the lock wall or walk from the bridge area.
Scenic notes: A quiet, intimate channel setting with mature trees on both banks. Not dramatic scenery, but peaceful and pleasant. The narrow waterway has a secluded feel despite being close to Bobcaygeon. Good bird watching in the early morning along the wooded shoreline.
Big Bob Channel follows the northern branch of the Bobcaygeon River connecting Pigeon Lake to Lock 32 at Bobcaygeon. The channel is approximately 1.3 km long. The low road bridge with 6-foot clearance crosses the channel about 0.5 km east of the lock. This anchorage sits in the section between Pigeon Lake and that bridge — a narrow, protected waterway with good depth throughout.

Enter from Pigeon Lake via Big Bob Channel heading west toward Bobcaygeon. The anchorage is in the cove east of marker C373, before the low road bridge. Do not attempt to pass under the bridge — vertical clearance is only 6 feet. Depths are 7 to 12 feet throughout the anchorage area with good holding. Lock 32 at Bobcaygeon is approximately 1 km further west beyond the bridge. This is a quiet, well-sheltered overnight stop with room for several boats.
The low road bridge (6-foot vertical clearance) is the primary hazard to be aware of. Do not attempt to pass under it unless your vessel has less than 6 feet of air draft. Anchor well east of the bridge. Channel traffic between Pigeon Lake and Bobcaygeon passes through here, so anchor to one side and show an anchor light at night.
