Cameron Lake offers some of the finest anchorage options on the entire TSW, with multiple protected bays reachable by leaving the main channel after red marker N26. Sackett Bay, McFarland Bay, Fells Bay, and Cranberry Bay (between Boyd and Rathbun Islands) all provide excellent overnight anchoring.
Cranberry Bay delivers nearly all-around protection — the best choice in unsettled weather. The lake reaches depths of 60 feet in the centre but shoals near Lighthouse Point.

Nearest provisioning: Fenelon Falls — ~5 km (Lock 34). Full town with groceries, restaurants, shops.
Scenic notes: Beautiful bays with varied shoreline. Nice dinghy ride on Rosedale River to dam and up Rathbun River. Depths to 60 ft in lake centre.
Cameron Lake is where the TSW starts to feel like real cruising ground instead of a canal. Multiple bays, real depth, genuine protection options. Cranberry Bay between Boyd and Rathbun Islands is the all-weather pick — it wraps around you from every direction.
Take the dinghy up the Rosedale River to the dam and then up Rathbun River — it's one of the best side trips on the waterway. Good depths in all anchorage areas.
Cameron Lake depths to 60 ft in centre but shoals to swamp east of Lighthouse Point. Get well off the main channel.
