The Port of Little Current Downtown Docks is one of the most celebrated stops on the entire Great Loop, sitting at the narrow passage between Manitoulin Island and the Ontario mainland where the iconic one-lane swing bridge has stood since 1913. Nearly a kilometre of floating docks accommodate 120 transient vessels to 100 feet, with 30/50A power included in the nightly rate, showers included, pump-out available, and VHF 68 monitored. Open 7am–10pm. Fuel from the adjacent waterfront fuel dock. OMOA Clean Marine certified.

One of the top 5 stops on the Great Loop by virtually every account. The downtown is exceptional — LCBO, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants (including the North 46 fine dining and Anchor Grill), hardware, gift shops all within steps. The swing bridge is a genuine engineering landmark. The North Channel stretching west from here is considered the finest freshwater sailing and cruising in the world. Plan to stay at least 2 nights.
Enter Little Current from the east via the North Channel. The swing bridge controls access — it opens on the hour, dawn to dusk. Call VHF 68 well in advance for dock assignment. Approach is straightforward in 16 ft of water. The downtown is directly adjacent to the docks.
