Sparrow Lake is the last lake before the Severn River drops through Big Chute to Georgian Bay. The Big Chute marine railway is approximately 15 km downstream — the most unique lock experience on the TSW.

Approach from Sparrow Lake following the marked channel. Fuel dock depth is only 4 ft — call ahead on VHF 68 before arrival to confirm current conditions and dock staff availability. Slow to minimum speed well in advance.
Gas and diesel available. 4 ft at fuel dock — boats drawing 3.5 ft or more should verify current depth conditions by calling ahead. This is a key last-fuel stop before Big Chute heading south, or first fuel heading north from Big Chute.
